about
This track is inspired by our existence in the year of 2020. Things we once took for granted now profoundly impact our lives. A handshake. A trip to the grocery store. Familiar paradigms have changed. Reality is uncomfortable and unsettling, but there is hope for the post-pandemic world.
I set out on a sonic exploration with a small 3U 104HP Eurorack Modular system and an Elektron Digitone. The limited set of sound and modulation sources brought focus to the process of composition and arrangement. The result is a study of constraints and restraint.

Really strong middle of the album. Later tracks are heavily beat-oriented. The album as a whole kind of has 3 sections (or maybe that's just me). Like many MC releases, there seems to be a pointed interest in short, direct tracks, only two tracks here over 4 minutes. Creating the maximum mood and narrative in the most efficient amount of time as possible. No noodling, no long intros. No waste. Anthony Childs
